The village nearby has a good range of shops, including a bakery, and there’s a supermarket just a few minutes’ walk away. There’s tourist information too. We picked this site partly for its location and partly for the pool and waterslides, which the children loved. Men and boys do need to wear the permitted swimwear, as loose trunks aren’t allowed. We had to buy some elsewhere because the onsite shop had limited supplies. Our cabin was in good condition, and the little welcome pack was appreciated. WiFi was a nice surprise. The camp is child friendly and had activities arranged. We only had one drink at the bar and didn’t eat at the restaurant, but there seemed to be plenty of choice.

The kids loved having the freedom to ride their bikes around safely and go to the pool and slides. The slides were fantastic, though the pool felt a bit small for a campsite this size. Our pitch didn’t have enough room for our swing ball game, which was disappointing. There were power cuts every day throughout our holiday, and that was our main complaint. The campsite itself is safe, clean, and friendly, and the staff are helpful.

We were only here for two nights in August 2024, passing through on the way to the Dordogne, and came away a bit underwhelmed. Nothing specific went wrong, but personally I don’t think there’s enough to keep you busy for a couple of weeks, and the beach is a bus ride away, though the shuttle is free. The pool was warm and medium sized, and the slides were fun. UK visitors should know that swim shorts aren’t allowed. The pizza place onsite was nice, but we didn’t try the restaurant. The entertainment is in the bar and was very basic, with shows only a few nights a week in August. The night we went, a solo guitarist played what sounded like karaoke tracks. We had a pleasant pitch under the trees, but it was very uneven, so bring good leveling blocks. Our UK 27ft twin axle caravan was a tight fit, and we definitely needed the movers and self levelling system.

The cabin was okay, though the kitchen had few things in it and the bedrooms were tiny. The outdoor decking and barbecue area was very nice. It’s a traditional French campsite, with cabins as well as camping and touring pitches. The place was clean and well kept, and the staff were friendly. The pool seemed small for the size of the site and got extremely crowded in the afternoons, though it was mid August.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and both the snack bar and restaurant were great. We had a clean cabin in a good spot in a lovely region. But the outdoor pool was too small, and the chlorine hurt my son’s eyes enough to put him off swimming. There weren’t enough sun loungers, so it was a bit of a scrum most days. The shop barely had any essentials.
