The hosts were lovely and welcoming, and the gardens were really pretty. We stopped in Caen for a night and enjoyed an excellent table D'hote. The master bedroom was finished very well. The kids’ room and the rest of the house felt dated, but that’s part of its charm.

The owners were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the setting was amazing. Our room and bathroom were spotless. The kids had a great time playing outside and with the toys they’d provided. We’ll definitely come back if we’re in Caen again.

The rooms and setting are furnished with real taste. If you enjoy the feel of a family manor or castle, this place is for you. The hostess, who inherited the estate, runs everything herself, helped along by friends and sometimes even strangers. Congratulations to this courageous woman.

We were warmly welcomed by the owners, who were truly kind. The apartment was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable, and the park was lovely and well maintained. We stayed for two nights and would highly recommend it.

The owners made us feel very welcome. It’s a lovely place with a lot of family history, and the building has been restored beautifully, keeping its original character while adding modern amenities.
