Gites de Cognac

The hosts took great care of everything we needed. We spent time relaxing beside the lovely, clean pool, and also explored Cognac and a nearby castle. It’s a peaceful little spot in the French countryside, and we had a wonderful stay. We’ll definitely visit again.

Cognac’s shops are an easy ten-minute trip, and the town centre is just ten kms away on clear roads. Back at the site, the pool is only about ten paces from the gites. Each one has its own character and is well provisioned. A great place to relax and enjoy a holiday.

We’ve got another week here, and already this is one of our best holiday experiences. The gites are spacious and well equipped, and the pool is gated. It seems ideal for couples or families. Sitting in the sun outside one of the quaint gites at Gites de Cognac, I can see why people say to book early, as it can fill up. You can also get out on a bike to visit nearby castles and towns. In July, the countryside is covered in sunflowers, and it’s simply stunning.

We keep coming back, so that probably says how much we like it here. It’s a superb family holiday spot, with great facilities and management who are the best. It feels safe for kids to run about, and there are almost always other children around for them to play with.
