The owners and staff are delightful, and breakfast was excellent. Our room in the annex, looking over the car park, was basic but comfortable, with air conditioning. The code-gated parking was reassuring since we had a car full of stuff and didn't want it left on the street overnight. It made a really good stop on our way to the Auvergne. Briare is worth a visit too: arriving in the afternoon leaves time for an easy evening walk by the Loire and along to the impressive canal aqueduct, then a drink or supper at one of the village bars or restaurants. Arlindo and his team made me feel welcome at du Cerf, with humor, English, and a great beer. My room was large, quiet, clean, and air-conditioned, with a small verandah, and I slept well. Breakfast was very good, and there's secure bicycle storage with a pump. Right where two EuroVelo paths meet, it's a great hotel for cycle tourists. A five-star stay.

A very relaxing night in the cute town of Briare. Check-in at Hotel Le Cerf was welcoming and accommodating, and our room was clean and spacious. The reception area is lovely, with a well-stocked bar where we picked up a bottle of wine for our one-night stay.

What a find! Three of us stayed here during our motorcycle tour and couldn't fault the place. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the parking was secure. The owner was excellent and booked us a table at a local restaurant. Breakfast was excellent too. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

For the price, it's a good hotel. The beds were clean and comfortable, the AC was strong, and reception was friendly and helpful. Bike tourists can use a secure room with basic tools and a pump. There are also plenty of good restaurants just a short walk away.
