Premiere Classe Brive La Gaillarde Ouest

I was on a motorcycle road trip and stayed at the „Premiere Classe“ in Brive. The only thing premium about it is the name. The building is old, the rooms are small and very dated, and the toilets have cramped plastic walls like a camper or caravan. The walls are so thin that you hear everything your neighbors do in their rooms. Don't be fooled by the pictures. If it hadn't been so late and I hadn't been short on time, I would have left. There's an IBIS next door. It's nothing special, but I'd pay the few extra euros to stay there. You most likely won't get bad surprises there like at the Premiere Classe. My room was full of little flies and wasn't completely clean. I left the bathroom light on while I slept so the flies would go there instead of bothering me, and that worked well. Still, paying over 50€ for a place like this and having to come up with that strategy is a courageous offer from the provider or owner, in my opinion. This is the kind of place where you'd expect bedbugs. Checking for them was the first thing I did when I arrived. Luckily, my room was free of them. Great! As you can see, the standards here are pretty „Premium Classe“. PS: Reading the place's comment on my review makes it clear they literally don't care and just look for cheap excuses. As long as enough people who don't know better stay in this „beautiful“ place, they're happy.
