Hotel Kyriad Lyon Est - Bron Eurexpo Le Cottage

The rooms, breakfast, and location were all good and about what I'd expect at this price. The real highlight was the service from Mr. Stanislas Gay, the manager at this Kyriad Location. He was patient and helpful while sorting out a private matter involving our dog during the stay, and went above and beyond. Thank you!

We had to wait an hour while they tried to sort things out, then they offered us a room at a nearby hotel that we didn't really like. We were in town for a concert and running out of time, so we had little choice but to take it. We'd booked this hotel through Booking.com and had received confirmation well in advance, but when we arrived the staff said they had no record of it. They blamed Booking.com instead of taking responsibility. I strongly suspect they'd overbooked and didn't want to admit it. The whole thing was frustrating and unprofessional. Avoid it if you need reliable service.

We arrived without the room we'd reserved more than a month earlier. The hotel had clearly overbooked, and the young receptionist couldn't explain how our booking had disappeared from the system. He said the hotel was full, probably because of a concert in town, then sent us to nearby accommodation that was well below the standard of what we'd booked. A frustrating, unacceptable experience. Very unfortunate.

Kyriad was such a cute place, and I absolutely loved my stay. The breakfast was gorgeous and the staff were super friendly. If I remember right, Dylan was on the night shift and was really helpful and nice. If you have breakfast, try the caramel muffins, they're so good.
