We were charged 50 EUR a day after checking out, supposedly for burning a blanket with a cigarette. We’re a non-smoking, non-alcoholic couple, and the allegation is completely false. It’s shocking and infuriating to have money taken without proof or our consent. This was my first experience of a hotel charging us fraudulently, and it’s disgraceful. I called the number provided and was told the charge came from Booking.com, not the hotel. Who is responsible? The blame passing and disorganization from both sides are unacceptable. Now I’m being told the investigation won’t begin for four days because of their “current workload.” A false accusation, an unauthorized charge, and then days of waiting is outrageous. **Update after the owners’ reply** Dear Ms. Kwiatkowski, thank you for responding to my Google review. I’ve attached a screenshot of the email. I want to address how fair and consistent this decision is. 1. The hotel’s first message said the charge was for a burnt blanket. The reason later changed to going behind the breakfast buffet, where we took two plates. Please check the emails. That change raises questions about whether the claim is accurate and fair. 2. Before this, I asked the receptionist if we could take two plates from the buffet because we were tired and came down late. She said it was fine when we came down for dinner. The next morning, 10/05/2025, we mentioned it to the staff again, and there was no issue. It was accepted during our stay. 3. No one told us while we were there that our actions were unacceptable. We checked out around 10h on 10/05/25 and received the official invoice for our stay at 19h57 that day. The charge email came the following day. Why wasn’t it on the official invoice? By 14/05/2025, the reason had shifted from “damage” to “behavior.” It looks like a reason was found afterward to justify the charge. We came to relax on vacation, not deal with problems after leaving. The sudden charge and the lack of clear, consistent communication during our stay have caused stress and disappointment. Guests deserve transparency and fairness.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, and all spoke very good English. For the low price, especially after reading the negative comments, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was perfectly acceptable, clean, and comfortable to sleep in, with a lovely lake view. Breakfast was superb for such a low cost too. We’d definitely stay again if we needed to.

There’s not much around besides a lake, no grocery store or public transport nearby, and the road surface is rough. There’s no free coffee or tea, and the machine only takes cash. Check-in is at 17:00, and there’s no toilet access while waiting. The female receptionist was rude, with no greeting, thanks, or goodbye. The bedsheet was dirty and seemed not to have been changed. When I reported it, she said nothing, not even sorry, and showed no remorse. Later I asked for one cup of coffee without having cash, and she told me to pay by credit card. Of course, I ended up in a room nobody else would accept. This place should be rated one star, not two.

For a one night stop, it’s fine for a 19 sq Mtr room and good for the price. Check-in was quick, the staff were friendly, and the room was clean, with a comfortable bed and crisp sheets. The bathroom reminded me of one on a camper van or boat. I didn’t try breakfast, but it looked nice.
