Appart Hôtel Mer & Golf City Bordeaux Bruges

The apartment had plenty of space, with a double bed and sofa bed, and the kitchen was well supplied with clean dishes, pots, pans, a cooker, fridge, and microwave. The beds and sheets were clean too, though I found hair on the blanket and asked for it to be changed. We were there because a family member was being released from hospital after surgery, so cleanliness mattered a lot. I was told the staff were busy cleaning other rooms and couldn’t come, even after I explained. Most reception staff were helpful, but I may have caught the wrong person at a bad moment. The hotel is quite far from the centre, and there aren’t many local shops. The shop at the hotel also closes very early most days, so keep that in mind if you plan to go out.

I expected worse after seeing all the bad ratings, but honestly it wasn’t that bad. It’s a functional hotel for anyone after a simple place to stay for a few days.

We picked this apart hotel on a road trip because we wanted a 3 star place with a pool near the A10. The price, facilities, and location all worked for us. I’d read some poor comments about room cleanliness, so I was happy to find everything clean and nicely presented. The place is well equipped and the staff are friendly.

The balcony is a good size and there’s enough room inside, with an adequate kitchen and the things you need. It’s fairly basic and the quality isn’t great, though. This is about building B: there’s no elevator or platform, and stairs at every entrance make access difficult for people with disabilities.
