The location was okay, though not especially good. Our apartment was up in the attic, and hauling suitcases up the many narrow stairs was a pain. There was plenty of floor space, but a lot of it went to a sitting area and kitchen. The bed, tucked into a tight corner, was small and uncomfortable. The bathroom was unbelievably tiny. I couldn’t bend down to wash my legs, and the little sink was hard to use safely. With all that room going to the sitting area and kitchen, the priorities felt misplaced. I can’t imagine wanting those features for a longer stay when the bed and bathroom both fell short.

The place was clean, well-equipped, and spread over two levels. Finding it was difficult: there’s no sign out front, just a large black wooden door, and it’s a long walk. The host was also hard to reach once I arrived.

The flats are spacious, inexpensive, and equipped with everything. Three of us stayed there, right in the center, near the abbaye aux hommes and other things to see. There’s no reception or paperwork to deal with, since you get entry codes in advance. I recommend it!

Clean and tidy, with everything needed for an overnight stay. It’s handy for getting around Caen, though I wouldn’t suggest it for a longer stay with children.

Appartments B has a two-level layout with large windows. The shower felt a little too small, and the hot water was only warm, not hot.
