Aroma Green Villa

We were sorry we’d booked less than a week in October 2023, because we felt so at home here. The owners greeted us warmly and were genuinely helpful. When we asked where to eat, they handed us what felt like a little Michelin guide to the nearby restaurants. The garden became one of our favorite places, especially for breakfast and dinner. There are shady trees, big parasols, comfortable quality loungers and chairs, and a private barbecue beneath the grapevines. They even provide portable LED lights for evenings outside. We liked one so much that we added it to our shopping list at home. This is a family house, and you can feel that throughout. It has the useful things you’d expect at home, but the furnishings feel as though they’ve grown along with the place, rather than having been bought all at once for a rental. The extensive renovation kept the old house’s character, including its original tile floors, doors, and windows. It’s also a great base for exploring Cap Corse, right in the middle of things, though quite tucked away. We went through Bastia often on our outings for bigger shopping trips. The house has the feel of the traditional Corsican homes scattered across the landscape. We had a fantastic stay and wish we’d booked longer.
