The breakfast was enjoyable, though I don't think it was quite worth €15. My double room had enough space for me and was comfortable, and the bathroom was acceptable. I was woken early by outside noise because my room faced the main square, especially on market day. I also found out at home, when checking my invoice, that I'd been charged the small city/tourist tax on arrival even though I'd already paid it after booking directly through the hotel website. I wasn't impressed.

The staff were warm and friendly, and the price was very reasonable. My room looked out over the square, with a comfortable bed and a decent shower.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and in the morning the receptionist pointed us to the boulangerie around the corner for one last proper French croissant and coffee. We arrived in Calais early evening, worn out after driving all day from Nantes, and wanted to unwind and find dinner. The gentleman at reception was exceptionally courteous and helpful, recommending nearby restaurants and explaining where to park outside the hotel. He also gave us precise timings for the short drive to Le Shuttle the next morning. The reception staff were particularly pleasant and helpful.

The room was clean, good value, and just as described. Loud music from a nearby nightclub woke us all and carried on until 2h30, so that's why it loses a star.

Very good value, with lovely rooms and staff who were friendly and helpful. It was a great base for exploring Brugge, and I'd gladly recommend it.
