We only stayed while passing through, and right away wished we'd booked more nights. Louise and Jean-Maxime have restored a truly special place and welcome guests so warmly. It's close to the heart of Lyon, yet the river and forest keep it wonderfully quiet. The famous Michelin Star Restaurant Paul Bocuse is a short walk away, though it usually books many months ahead. We stayed in the Tower, which has been renovated brilliantly and decorated beautifully. The room was gorgeous and clean, with every comfort provided. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh juice, bread, pastries, and other local delicacies. The estate has the feel of a historic castle, surrounded by acres of enchanted forest. Gracious, talented hosts make you feel welcome, and the leafy, canopied paths are lovely for quiet walks, trail running, or exploring tiny aqueducts and relics monks left centuries ago. An exquisite gem with more than we could have hoped for.

We stopped at the Lyon Country House during our road trip from the South of France to Switzerland, and loved our stay. The owners clearly care about helping guests make special memories. You're very close to the city centre, but it feels like you're surrounded by nature.
We were made to feel very welcome by the friendly host and owner. The treehouse was beautiful, and the location was great. Breakfast in a basket was a lovely touch, especially with kids. We spent so much time chatting with Jean maxime that we ran short on time, haha. It was just one night on our way home from the south, and I wish we'd stayed longer. I'd definitely come back and recommend it.
We had the tower, and what a night that was! You're in the Metropole Region Lyon, but it feels like the countryside. The park is incredible, with 400-year-old trees and a view over the Saone. The landlord was another highlight, such a nice, funny man. Thank you, J-M, for sharing this destination with the world.
We stayed in the Guard Tower on a lovely 12-acre property, and it was absolutely amazing. Jean-Maxime was super friendly, and made the whole place easy to understand with his clear explanation. It worked really well for us with little children too.
