L' Arche d' Yvann

We had a generous breakfast, and the evening meal was very good with plenty to eat. It was lovely having the woodstove burning in the dining room while we ate. Our room in the second building was bright, clean, and cosy. I imagine the garden is charming in the warmer months. I enjoyed my stay.

I especially appreciated Yvan’s hard work. The place has a great atmosphere, and we had a fabulous dinner followed by a hearty breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable. We’d heard good things about this Gite, and when I called to book, Yvan answered right away and kindly helped us with the reservation.

The homemade meals are delicious and hearty, and the place feels warm and clean. Yvann has turned an elegant country manor into a comfortable, luxurious gite, with a welcoming atmosphere where pilgrims laugh, meet, and end up lingering for hours. He clearly enjoys meeting them. A real treat, and easy to reach on the GR 6, which runs parallel to the GR 65.

The welcome is warm, the food is good, and the price is very affordable. It’s a lovely old country house, renovated with good taste, and the shared rooms are well arranged and decorated. For walkers, the detour from the Chemin is short, and a lovely road leads back to the GR65 towards Conques without adding many kilometres. A great place to stay.
