Hotel Renoir

The rooms are spacious and beautiful, with the kind of feel hotels had when luxury was the standard, and staff are friendly. From the ocean-facing floor, the views are breathtaking. It’s right in central Cannes and about a ten-minute walk to the beach. There are some drawbacks: the hotel backs onto a busy road, there’s a police station next door, and you may hear noise. You also have to climb a flight of stairs to get in, and help with bags isn't always available.

The staff were welcoming, helpful, and exceptionally friendly before we arrived and throughout the stay. We found it good value for the money, though a warmer, cozier interior would help. Our higher-tier room was spacious, clean, and well kept, with fresh white linens and towels and good toiletries. My mom asked the hotel to arrange a birthday surprise, and they went above and beyond: swan-shaped towels, rose petals, chocolates, and thoughtful little gifts. We really appreciated it. Breakfast had a good range, including delicious pancakes, smoked salmon, cold meats, and more, but the room is small and gets cramped when more guests arrive. The location is convenient, about 6-8 minutes from everything, with sea views from our windows. Still, reaching the sea means crossing a large, somewhat uninviting road, and the area feels more functional than cozy or charming. The nearby train station and police station add to that impression.

We stayed at this hotel in August 2025, and everything was wonderful. Meeting Mrs. Gabriela was a real joy. She was so kind and gave us helpful advice and support.

The breakfast was good, though the breakfast room is small and gets inconvenient with more than 6 persons. The rooms are comfortable. The lift is really small and takes a while.
