It’s a small boutique hotel with only limited services. The rooms are basic and functional, and there isn’t much else at the hotel. It’s very quiet and simple, though there’s nothing actually wrong with it. The train is a 10-minute walk away, making Nice and Monaco easy to reach.

The hotel is cosy, with a very stylish living room, and it’s well kept. The manager, Hubert, calls it an old lady since the house is more than 100 years old, so don’t expect a large room or an elevator. I was there for my birthday, and Hubert was very friendly. At the end of our stay he gave me a pouch of homemade cookies, a lovely gesture. Both the beach and train station are only a 10-minute walk away. A wonderful place to stay.

I’d happily choose this place whenever I wanted to stay on this coast. It’s unpretentious and inexpensive, and suits people who can spend more but still appreciate good value. My room wasn’t sumptuous, but it was “correcte” and quiet in the morning despite facing the street. Breakfast was good, and the service couldn’t have been more attentive. When someone misplaced my bag, madame was mortified and kept at it until it turned up.

A cosy, stylish little place with an elegant boutique feel. Monaco is easy to reach, though the sea and MALA beach are a walk away.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were wonderful and the location superb. I’d highly recommend the Hotel de Monaco!
