I was travelling alone, but it felt like visiting old friends. The owners were so kind and looked after me wonderfully, especially with their cooking. This is a beautiful, bespoke guest house with clean, thoughtfully decorated rooms and a spectacular view across the valley. The terrace is lovely for breakfast, and you can also order lunch, dinner or wine. The pool can be used any time during the day, not just in season, and the internet is great. It’s convenient for the train and airport, and within walking distance of central Carcassonne and the medieval castle. I only wish I’d stayed longer, but I’m already planning another visit. I was so lucky to book this genuinely outstanding place and meet its owners.

Jean-Yves and Serge made our stay unforgettable with their warmth and kindness. The house has a lovely, peaceful garden, and inside it’s elegant and full of refined details. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully designed, with a real sense of harmony throughout. Nothing short of exceptional.

The small touches really made it: they brought iced water to the pool, and even served a bowl of delicious homemade ice cream while we relaxed in the shower. Jean Yves and Serge were fabulous hosts, always ready to make us comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade brioche and jams, plus great conversation and plenty of laughs. The rooms were stylish, perfect and comfortable, the shower was fantastic, and the pool was wonderful too. It's a short walk to the centre and medieval city, so the location is great.

We've read lots of reviews praising hosts, but Serge & Jean are the best we've ever come across. They’re so attentive and nothing seems to be a problem. They source and buy the highest quality food, and both love cooking wonderful meals, whether at breakfast or dinner.
