The house is stunning, the pool is fabulous, and the hosts are lovely. Breakfast was wonderful, with delicious fresh-baked gluten-free bread for a coeliac. Our room had only a bath with a handheld shower head, which looked beautiful but wasn't very practical. Otherwise, divine.

Serge and Muryel were kind, generous hosts who were happy to suggest places to see and things to do around the Cathar region of Southern France. They speak English quite well, though I enjoyed speaking French with them. The hotel is a beautiful converted vineyard dating from 1782, with rustic French country-style furnishings. Our room was spacious and had a luxurious bathroom. Tea, coffee, and bottled water were provided free, and there was a pool and complimentary breakfast. Breakfasts were wonderful, a highlight each day. A fantastic place to stay while visiting the region. Definitely recommended.

Beautiful place!

The rooms were quiet and comfortable, just as described and pictured. They're spacious, superbly clean, and we especially enjoyed the breakfast each morning with its impeccable service. The Domaine is well located for exploring this magnificent region, and felt like a haven of well-being, an island of comfort. This was our second visit, and we're sure to return. A huge thank you to Victor, the owner, for his friendliness, kindness, and warm welcome.

The communal breakfast in the dining room, served at a shared table in an almost family-like atmosphere, was a lovely part of the stay. This unique place is a 19th-century house turned into a small guesthouse, or more like a rooming house, run by a delightful host. I'm usually drawn to the anonymity of chain hotels, but this place showed me that it's sometimes worth stepping outside the usual routine.
