Gites De La Cite

The third bedroom was the main problem: it was a small attic with two cots beside the hot water boiler, and unlike the other bedrooms it had no air conditioning. It was impossible to sleep there, so we moved the mattresses into the room next to the attic. Communication with the host was also almost nonexistent. We got the key code, but the WhatsApp question we sent wasn't answered until hours later, after we'd already worked things out. There were good points, though. The house was generally clean, especially the bathrooms, and had plenty of useful amenities, including a dishwasher, washing machine and three bathrooms. The price was affordable, and the location was excellent, right by Porte de l'Aude and a three-minute walk from the city walls. Knowing about the attic room, I'd probably come back at a cooler time of year, given the price and location.
