Panorama Suite & SPA (Adults Only)

The view is the best part. From the bath, you can look out over the beautiful scenery, thanks to the apartment’s elevated position. The host was friendly and gave us a glass of local champagne and six pieces of local sausage when we arrived. She also left a baguette and two croissants outside the door at 8:30 for breakfast. The fridge had jam, plain fromage frais, an apple, a kiwi, fresh orange juice, and milk. She didn’t rush us much when we were leaving in the morning, which was nice. The listing title is misleading, and almost €200 a night didn’t feel worth it, especially with check-in not allowed until 5 p.m. The shared entrance hall leading to the apartment was dirty and poorly kept, though the host’s own hallway was tidy and presentable. She explained that she had put up a stud wall to create the guest room and lives right next door. That made us uncomfortable about making any noise. The floor wasn’t laid properly and squeaked loudly in certain spots. The room was small, with a glass-screened shower that offered no privacy, a private toilet, sink, fridge, kettle, coffee-making equipment, a bed, and a jetted bath with lights and bubbles. There was only a thick quilt, no sheet, and it was uncomfortable on a warm night. Sadly, we wouldn’t recommend it or stay again.

A fantastic little find. Stephanie, the owner, is wonderful and made us feel right at home. The bed was super comfortable. A+++.

Really good.

The room was beautifully kept, and the view across Carcassonne was something else, especially after dark. We also loved the comfortable hot tub for two, which looks out over that same lovely scene. Stephanie greeted us warmly with a much-appreciated glass of local wine. Breakfast was generous and tasty, and she even left us excellent bread and mini croissants that were still warm. Stephanie's hospitality made the stay wonderful.
