Our room was spacious and impeccably clean, with a super comfortable bed and especially cosy pillows. Housekeeping did a perfect job and replenished everything. The whole hotel is beautiful, distinctive, charming, and elegant. From the terrace, you can look over towers, bridges, the city, and Basilique Saint Nazaire. Step outside the main entrance and Basilique Saint Nazaire is right there, with charming shops, great restaurants, cobbled streets, and ancient walls and towers all around. The hotel is inside the medieval castle, which made the whole setting feel like a fairytale. My wife picked Carcassonne for her birthday because she wanted a memorable trip. We aren't used to fancy hotels, but decided to go all out, and it was absolutely worth it. Staying in a castle was one thing, but the staff's care made the visit feel truly special. Sophie, Clemence, and Patricia were especially kind and genuinely interested in how our stay was going. They made us feel very lucky to be there and helped make the trip once in a lifetime. We couldn't have asked for a better run hotel.

The rooms are the weaker part, more like three stars than five, though they're spacious and many have amazing views. Food is excellent, and the service is very friendly. The main draw is the hotel's unique spot inside the old castle walls. I've been six or seven times, and it always feels magical, especially with kids. It's a place I wouldn't want to miss. Highly recommended.

The hotel is beautiful, right in the heart of the medieval city, with very large rooms and balconies you can step out onto. Staff were attentive and accommodating, and the restaurant and bar area were beautiful too. I only ate breakfast there, and it was delicious.

The hotel is magnificent, and the location couldn't be better. We loved our stay with the kids, and the reception ladies and bar staff were welcoming and professional. Breakfast was disappointing, though. The woman serving it kept rolling her eyes at the children and was very unpleasant. To get eggs and bacon with some vegetables, or tea and coffee, we had to ask her each time. With four of us, we needed to approach her several times. She got some orders wrong, which wouldn't have been a problem on its own, but her attitude made us reluctant to ask for anything else. We left with a bitter taste. We absolutely loved the hotel and would recommend it, but for breakfast I'd suggest going to a nearby coffee shop.
