We booked this for our anniversary weekend and were delighted with the apartment. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and very well equipped, with much better value than a hotel. Chris from the team met us and was friendly, curious, and incredibly helpful, going out of his way to sort out what we needed. The location is ideal, just a stone's throw from the main square in the old town and about a 20-minute walk to the cite. We're hoping to come back this year and book the same apartment at 42 rue Victor Hugo.

The place smelled bad and was very poorly equipped. There wasn't even any toilet paper, despite it being a bank holiday with the shops closed. The owner never responded. Avoid.

Parking was a hassle because the whole area is paid parking. During our visit, when it was over 30°C for all three days, the accommodation really needed air conditioning, but didn't have any. The bathroom is quite small, and the shower leaks when it's running. I also found the decision to stay overnight in Carcassonne questionable: to me, it's a run-down town with poorly maintained houses, like a suburb stuck in the 20th century.

Appalling service. We booked through Booking.com, then my daughter injured her foot and we asked to cancel without a fee. They refused and told me to submit a medical certificate to my VISA insurance. We messaged them by SMS and through Booking.com to say we'd still come so our money wouldn't be lost. Even so, they left us stranded like dogs. Absolute crooks.
