Kyriad Carcassonne - Aéroport

The restaurant was an unexpected highlight, with a very good meal at a fair price in a pleasant setting. We picked this hotel for the end of our holiday because it was near the airport. Our small room was clean and quiet, and the air conditioning worked really well. The taxi from the railway station cost 13.5 euro for two people. We walked to the airport in about 15 minutes the next morning. The route past industrial units wasn’t scenic, but it was peaceful.

We were glad to be outside the city since we had a car, and the price felt like good value. Staff were warm, spoke a few languages, and were always ready to help. We liked the fresh, tasty breakfast and had a good dinner at the hotel as well. Our room had a comfortable big bed, good air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and the option to connect a smartphone to the TV. A small fridge and toiletries would have been nice additions. There’s also a little sauna and hammam, bookable in private 45-minute slots, which was a nice way to relax. We stayed two nights and had a very pleasant time.

A comfortable bed and a kettle were handy, and the room suited two adults and one child. It would be too small for three adults, though, and the shower floor is very slippery. The hotel is basic, probably best if you won’t use many facilities or are just passing through. There’s a pool, several supermarkets, a shopping center and fast food nearby. To visit the city, you’ll need a vehicle. I didn’t see any transport options.

The staff seem to care about making sure guests are happy, and this is one of the better roadside motels I’ve stayed in. Rooms are clean and a decent size, with an okay bathroom. Breakfast is 10,50 € per person and has the usual range you’d expect from a B&B.
