Le Bristol Gites urbains

We were seven, and two of us were ordering when an older member of our group needed to sit down and wanted to wait on the second floor. The barista wouldn't let her upstairs until the order was finished, and handled it in a rude, disrespectful way. The service was very disappointing and left us with an unpleasant experience.

I had the salad of the day, after the cheerful, super helpful woman at the counter helped me find something I could safely eat. She sent me upstairs, where there's a wonderful view of the canal. I'll visit again.

The blonde local beer was excellent, and the chicken was great too. The burgers were just okay, though, and the fries were soggy, greasy, and pretty much inedible. We had two burgers with fries, a chicken burger with fries, and cornflake chicken with fries. The woman at the counter was friendly. You order food and drinks there, and can get a complimentary token for the toilets. It's a mixed bag, and expensive for the uneven food quality.

The people at the counter were really friendly, and the place has a nice feel, especially upstairs, where the seats are very comfortable. I only had fries, though they do serve other food. The wine by the glass was decent too. A good spot for a drink and snack before catching your train.
