The house is charming and warm, with period furniture, and it's in an ideal location. Agnès gave us a very warm welcome, and her cooking is delicious. We had a wonderful two days and loved our stay. If we're back in the area, this will be our go-to place.

The meals were good, though nothing special for a “Charm and Delights” package, and breakfast was decent apart from the moldy jams. The bedding was fine, but the room felt outdated, with a toilet awkwardly jammed against the wall and an old shower curtain. Heating was too weak. Getting there was rough too: the road was in terrible shape, and I drive a convertible, not a 4x4. All told, the poor quality made it too expensive.

The owner was lovely and shared advice on places to see in the area. We slept very well in this somewhat unusual place, and the meal we shared with the other guests was really convivial.

For good value, this is a clean, well-kept old building full of history. The welcoming host is pleasant and knows a lot about the history of her town and the surrounding area.
