Les Florentines

We slept so well in the comfortable bed, and breakfast the next morning was tasty, with yogurt, cheese, ham, fruit, bread, croissants, juice and coffee. Frederick was lovely, carrying our bags up the spiral staircase and helping with parking. After we left, he even called to say we'd accidentally forgotten our shoes. His beautiful 300-year-old home has been in his family for 5 generations. We chose the top-floor room with 2 terraces and a stunning view of the walled city, especially lovely at night when it was lit up. We highly recommend staying here.

I stayed in the Florentines room and loved it. It was charming, very comfortable and spotless, with two big terraces, one looking over the old city. The owner was so kind, and the included breakfast was great: baguette, croissant, yogurt, fruit, cheese and meat. Excellent value too. Thank you!

A lovely BnB with a superb view of Carcassonne castle. The room was good, breakfast was sufficient, and Federick was a friendly, nice host. Definitely worth staying.

We arrived early after our morning flight, but Frederic had agreed to look after our suitcases. He also sat down with us, answered our questions, asked what we were interested in, and marked places to visit on a map. His welcome was fantastic. The room was picture pretty, with typically French furniture and decor. Though it was only on the first floor, we could see the ramparts through the windows, which we opened to enjoy the atmosphere outside. Breakfast was sensational, all top-quality, and Federico took care of every detail and couldn't do enough for us. We followed nearly all Fredericks recommendations. Adelaide in Place St Jean in the old city was wonderful for the cassoulet we wanted to try. At atelier truffe, just a few doors away, I had my first white truffle with foie gras, an extraordinary dish paired with beautiful wine. We also took his advice to climb the tower at the cathedral St Vincent, where the views from the top were stupendous. If I return to Carcassonne, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.
