The house is kept spotless, and the care put into every detail really shows. It’s an unforgettable place, especially if you love history and beautiful old things. The hostess has filled her historic home with lovely antiques and looks after it with such care. She’s elegant and gracious, but also genuinely warm with guests. Breakfast was hearty, delicious, made with local ingredients, and served with real hospitality. We picked Angoville44 because it’s near Utah Beach and still a reasonable distance from Omaha Beach. The building is very old, so we found ourselves walking almost on tiptoe out of respect for it and its surroundings. A small tradeoff for all that charm. I hope the hostess won’t mind me sharing a few photos of the hotel and our room so future guests can get a feel for it and choose with confidence. I’d love to return.

The room was spacious and clean, and the whole place had a 1930s kind of decor, which was really nice. The breakfast, though, was mostly sweet things: very sugary cake, cereal, and similar options. I asked about cheese, ham, or eggs, but none were available. At this price, that’s disappointing, especially since there isn’t anywhere nearby to go. Even the worst places on my trip offered better breakfast choices.

The hosts put so much care into this place, and that’s why we couldn’t give it less than five stars. It’s a lovely choice for a romantic break, with a vintage feel. The furniture and decorations were arranged so thoughtfully that the room felt like it belonged in the 1800s. Breakfast was carefully put together, and the homemade apple pie was one of the best we’ve ever tried. A couple of things could be better: the bathroom could be a bit higher quality, and a 10 a.m. checkout felt early and rushed. An extra hour would have helped.

The owner was polite and helpful, and breakfast was tremendous. We had a spacious, clean room and a super comfortable bed. It’s a calm spot where you can feel the D-Day history around you. The village is small, but it was the prettiest one we visited. I’d recommend staying here.

Breakfast was amazing, with lots of yummy pastries 😃 The place was really clean, and the location was great. Such a beautiful, lovely stay, and the hosts were so kind and helpful. I’d happily recommend it.
