Hotel Du Tumulus

The staff really made the difference. They were professional, kind, and clearly committed to their work, and we had a wonderful stay. The spa costs only €15 and has very good facilities. I won’t say much more because I don’t want the price at this magnificent hotel to go up. It’s really, really good value for money.

We appreciated the quiet, and the heated pool was lovely. The hotel is a little far from the beach. Our room was very nice, with antique furniture, and the setting was welcoming and carefully maintained. The restaurants were very good quality, though dinner portions were too small. Presentation was lovely and service perfect. The spa services were very professional.

We came back after four years and still found the hotel good value, quiet, and well placed for Carnac sights, with nice views. The people were nice, the beds good, the rooms clean, and the baths and showers good. On our first visit, we found it very clean and quiet, with multilingual staff and a good restaurant. If you love seafood, though, try the local places. There’s good parking, and the hotel is right by the local “tumulus,” a large man-made hill that serves as a local pyramid tomb.

The cottage was little, clean, and comfortable. At breakfast, though, the waiter shouted across the dining room that we were taking the wrong plates for the buffet. My boyfriend’s sister was quite offended.
