Our family spent a week here in a cabin tucked into the shade of the trees. The pool was amazing, especially in the morning before it got busy. Later on, most people seemed to gather by the bar, where the animators put on great concerts and contests. A couple of things to know: you can't park two cars, and there's no TV in the cabin. Wi-Fi and barbecues cost extra. Thanks to the tall young groundskeeper who helped us get online. Free barbecues are only available to guests in the higher-class cabins.

There are lovely villages close by, and the campsite itself has some beautiful historic buildings. It's near the lakes, so be prepared for mosquitoes. Still, the local towns are worth a visit.

We left early and went home. It was the worst experience. The music was very loud until 1 a.m., so we couldn't sleep, and nobody at the campsite spoke English, despite the website saying they would. It also advertised canoeing, kayaking and horse riding, but none of those activities were there. When we got to the caravan, the bed sheets had been left on the floor outside. There was no cooker or anything for food, and we had no quilts or proper pillows, just a blanket to sleep with. We would have had to travel at least two hours to find somewhere to eat and get a drink.
