Château d'Argentonesse

The only small drawback for us was the choice of restaurants within walking distance: there seemed to be the one next door and a pizzeria farther along the road. Otherwise, it was a great place for day trips, with beautiful buildings and gardens. Our room was very comfortable, especially the mattress and pillows, and the pool was so relaxing. Christelle and Jean- Etienne made our stay fantastic, and Christelle’s cooking was delicious. We had the 3 course table d'hotes, and really enjoyed chatting with our hosts as they joined us for the meal. We can certainly recommend this place!

We loved how the castle combines authenticity with comfort. Breakfast was outstanding, and that view made it even better. Christelle et Jean-Étienne were wonderful hosts in a fabulous place. We’ll certainly return and absolutely recommend staying here.

The chateau itself is such a pleasant place, with a great swimming pool. Christelle & Jean-Etienne were adorable, welcoming hosts, and our room was cosy and pristinely clean. What a great experience. Highly recommended!

The pool was scenic and refreshing, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We had a lovely two-night stay in this elegant yet homey guesthouse, which worked well as a base for exploring Dordogne’s highlights. Christelle and Jean-Étienne welcomed us warmly into their tasteful, spacious home. Breakfast was excellent, including truffled fried eggs. Dinner is served twice a week, all home cooked, and it was delicious. Hope we can come back soon.
