The owner was genuinely caring and extremely nice, and everything about the stay was amazing. The little town has two absolutely amazing restaurants, though you need to book well in advance. From the apartment, the footpath to Pont du Gard is beautiful and takes about 40 minutes. We'll definitely come back someday!

The hosts were very friendly and pleasant, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was good quality, with croissants, fresh bread and delicious jams. Still, the rental felt expensive for the service on offer. The accommodation itself was pretty average. The ceilings were quite low, as it seemed to be a converted basement or garage. The decor was dated, though clean, and the bathroom had no window or ventilation. For a similar or lower price, we found much better three-star hotels in Nîmes, for example, just a stone's throw from the Roman arena. They weren't in the beautiful village of Castillon, admittedly, but they weren't far away.
