The room was nicely presented and breakfast was good. The front desk and concierge were helpful and full of useful advice on places to eat and see. They also arranged taxis to Le Castelet.

We stayed overnight for a rugby match in Castres. The room was pleasant and functional, and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was good and parking was free and secure. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the stadium or town center. I’d stay here again.

We were a large group from California and the friendly staff treated us like VIPs. Some of us had leftovers from our stay in a gîte near Foix, and the staff cheerfully heated them up for us. We also enjoyed the restaurant, its regional cuisine, and the warm hospitality.

With a great pool, lovely rooms, and a busy restaurant serving really top notch food, this place almost feels like a holiday destination on its own. The staff were helpful and friendly, and central Castres is just a short walk away. Definitely the place to stay in Castres.

We’d booked and paid for a superior room with single beds, but on arrival we’d been moved from room 214 to room 212. It was hot enough to feel like a sauna, and the air conditioning control didn’t work. We asked for help, but the system ended up completely isolated for our whole stay. The bathroom was small, and the toilet cubicle was so cramped that using the toilet with the door closed was impossible. There were no complimentary water bottles in the room. We’ve stayed at many Mercure hotels, but this time it felt worse than an Ibis.
