Le clos des sept palmiers

The breakfast was such a peaceful start to the day, served beneath the natural tree umbrellas. We had a ground floor room and really enjoyed our stay. The host was warm and flexible, knew the area well, and even booked a restaurant for us. Parking is tight, but there's an overflow lot a minute away. Some rooms are near the parking area, but it didn't bother us at all. Nights were so quiet that we slept with the windows wide open every night. The nearby beach has cliffs you can jump from, but be careful and do so at your own risk. The right cliffs have a safe spot, while the left ones don't. There's also a snorkel path there. We loved the cat on the property, too. Sometimes wild boars run nearby at night. They can't get onto the property, but it was cool to hear and watch them if you've never seen that before. It's a 20 minute walk to a lively village with lots going on. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We left after one night. On arrival, the owner said payment could only be made in cash or by transfer, and we paid cash. We're still trying to get a receipt for our trip, but she's ignoring us and being arrogant. There's some strange behavior if you need a receipt, so beware. The guest house is within walking distance of the beach, and despite being by the street, it was quiet at night. But the cat lives in the kitchen, living, and breakfast room, sleeps on the only indoor breakfast table, and is right beside the area where breakfast is prepared. Its food is placed next to the shelves with the water and juice bottles. If you have allergies or care about hygiene, this place is a no go. All three mattresses in our room had stains. The owner said they were from cleaning, which is hard to believe. Parking is very crowded, down a steep, one lane private road from the main road. If another car comes toward you, you'll have to reverse. Ground floor room windows face the parking area. Our booking confirmation promised a private terrace, but it was shared with another room and separated only by a bit of decoration.

We loved having breakfast on the outdoor terrace, and the room's private balcony was charming. Charlotte was a wonderful hostess who made us feel at home. We were there in June, with lovely weather and a very quiet setting, just steps from a small cove. The parking area was secure and closed at night. This Maison d’Hotes is a real gem, and we'd definitely recommend it. We'll be back!
