10/10
The restaurant was just as good as we remembered from our visit 20 years ago. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious. The wine was reasonably priced for a bottle included in the price. We really enjoyed the aperitif, it had a peachy note. We only ate there, but I gave the rooms 5 stars because I didn't want to bring down the average. It made for a lovely evening.

The grounds were a lovely place to unwind with a bottle of their homemade wine by the pool, and the bed in our room was so comfortable. On our first night, the waiter was run off his feet 🥴, but the meals were excellent. The second night's dinner was excellent too, and things were less busy. We had a lovely two-day stay, and William at reception was very helpful. We'd definitely come back.

The swimming pool is amazing, which is why I gave it 3 stars. The rooms are very old, and the dated furniture and toilets made them feel unclean. There's no shower, just a bathtub.

The staff were completely awesome and really attentive. I didn't see much on the menu that I'd normally eat, with lots of snails, shrimp, and foie de gras. It was all a little too rich for my taste, that's just me, not them.

The breakfast was amazing, and I really enjoyed my stay. The castle is beautiful, and the rooms were lovely, spacious, and very clean.
