Hotel Formule Club Bordeaux Cenon

After a long drive across France, the friendly check-in from Oleh made us feel at home. We were travelling as a family and stayed one night. The hotel is handy for the highway, the rates were great, and our room was clean and spacious. The beds were really comfortable, just what we needed after the journey. Highly recommend it.

The wifi was frustratingly bad, barely reaching past reception, and every time I reconnected I had to sign in through a portal. It was no use if you need internet in your room. The pizzeria is handy, but don't count on getting a pizza if you arrive within an hour of closing, since they switch the oven off. Check-in staff are usually polite and helpful, unless you get the rude one with no manners. Still, it's a good, convenient little hotel for a stopover.

Enrique at reception was really kind and helpful. It's a busy place and good value, with a useful base for trips to Spain or the UK. The rooms are small, but for the price they were fine for one night. We didn't have breakfast, though it was available if we'd wanted it.

Like the others in the group, I'd say it's just about good enough. The place is made from containers, but there's plenty of private, secure parking for our machines on wheels.
