Breakfast is a shared-table affair with the other guests and the owners, and Michael and Anne make homemade bread and jelly, with a little variation each day. We loved the relaxed, nature-filled setting and how lovely they have made the place. The hosts are kind and always available. It’s fairly remote and the internet is slow, which suited us for switching off. There’s a kitchen and fridge in the garden, and the place is also lovely with kids. Beautiful beaches are close by. It felt different from what we were used to, and we loved it.

The pool was a perfect spot for a cool dip or to relax in the sun, and it was never too busy. We spent four lovely nights at Maison d’hotes Tavalora, Palombaggia, Corsica. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a small kitchen on the terrace that came in handy when we ate in. Breakfast was wonderful, with fresh bread daily, homemade jam, eggs, fruit, coffee, and tea. Miguel and Anna were incredibly helpful. One evening they served us and the other guests a delicious cold meat and cheese platter with several glasses of wine for €30 per head. Parking was easy, and Porto-Vecchio is a short drive away. I’d recommend it anytime.

The sea view was beautiful, and the location was really good. Such a lovely place to spend a few nights!

We especially liked having our own outdoor kitchenette, which gave us complete independence. The hosts were friendly and helpful, the rooms very clean, and they were flexible about check-in and check-out times. Breakfast was varied and homemade, served on a lovely terrace with a breathtaking view. Just keep in mind that you need a car to reach the different restaurants.

We got great advice from the welcoming, friendly owners for sightseeing. The setting is magnificent, quiet, and relaxing, close to idyllic beaches. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with local and homemade products, and views out to the sea and Sardinia.
