Château de Razay

We first stayed at Château de Razay on two separate trips, trying different kinds of rooms, and each one had its own character and was fantastic. The forest accommodations add a special charm, and the château is full of character. We later privatized the entire property for our September wedding, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Anna-Léa, the co-owner and chef, impressed us at every dinner with her distinctive French-Japanese fusion cuisine. We ate at the on-site restaurant several times, and breakfast each morning was delicious, made entirely with locally sourced ingredients. Across those earlier visits and our wedding weekend, every stay has been exceptional. We can’t recommend Château de Razay highly enough, especially as a wedding venue.

I especially want to thank Nathan, who went above and beyond to get the things we’d left behind back to us. We were there in September for friends’ wedding, and the venue was magical. Our room was beautiful and well-equipped, and the service was fantastic.

The setting is quiet and surrounded by nature, while still being close to beautiful castles to visit nearby. We had a wonderful stay at Chateau de Razay. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and so was dinner at the restaurant.

We appreciated the attentive service, the elegant, comfortable rooms, and having bike rentals delivered right to the hotel. The park is immense, green, and peaceful, great for relaxing, walking, or jogging, and the location works really well for visiting the Loire valley castles. We had a high-standard dinner one evening, and when the restaurant was closed, the bar had convenient, very good light dinner options. The wine list was very good too. Warmly recommended, and we’ll definitely come back.
