Camping Le Panoramic

We came by camper van in June and really enjoyed the scenery. The campsite sits up on a slope, so walking to the lake is pleasant but a bit of a challenge. It was peaceful, and the toilets and showers were clean and fairly new. The pool was refreshing, and the restaurant seemed popular. We liked the fondue.

The staff were welcoming, helpful, and focused on customers, and the laundry facilities were great. The Lake Annecy views are lovely, and we had delicious food at the restaurant, especially the salads and fondue. The steaks looked great too. It can feel a bit crowded in high season, so choose a pitch carefully for shade and space. Remember your own loo paper when using the facilities!

The pool has an incredible view, though there aren't enough umbrellas beside it, so bring your own. We were lucky to get a front row spot overlooking the lake. You can't choose a pitch until you arrive and pay. The service was wonderful, and the person at the desk was very helpful. We enjoyed the restaurant too, with reasonably priced fondue and a delicious Caesar salad.

From the bar, pool, and a few pitches, you get fabulous views of Lake Annecy, and we were welcomed warmly. The pitches have hedges and trees, with a nice mix of sun and shade, but many aren't level, so bring levelling ramps. They could use a bit of care: the grass was long and the hedges overgrown. The sanitaires were scrupulously clean, and the showers were great, with strong pressure, plenty of run-on, and water as hot as you can stand. During our five days in mid June, the épicerie never opened, though the bar and restaurant opened at 4pm.
