The staff made us feel very welcome, and they kindly waived the extra charge for our cat. We were on our way to Spain and found ACE Hôtel Cestas right beside the A63, which was so quiet inside that we heard no traffic. The room was roomy and clean, with a modern bathroom and quality fittings. It felt a step above the ibis budget and B&B places we usually use in France, even though the price was similar. We’d happily choose ACE Hotels again on future trips through France. Highly recommended.

There’s secure motorcycle parking within the hotel grounds, and the motorway services complex has shops and restaurants close by. I’ve stayed here about five times over the years on motorcycle trips to and from Spain. The rooms are very nice, the staff are always helpful, and breakfast is fine.

The rooms were quieter, cleaner, and more pleasant than I expected, and breakfast set me up for the next 10-hour drive. I chose this place on booking.com for its location and reviews, roughly halfway between the Netherlands and Lisbon. It’s part of a larger service station complex, with a restaurant and other amenities nearby. I’ll definitely come back.

Danielle and Barbara deserve a big thank you for staying in touch and getting my lost watch back to me. The hotel was spotless and handy for the highway, yet really quiet. We had a lovely stay, and the gentleman at reception was warm and welcoming.
