The welcome was cold and unpleasant from the start. We weren’t responsible for the confusion caused by incorrect information the host had received, but we were treated poorly. The apartment was missing basic things listed in the ad, including a baby chair, and there wasn’t even a simple kitchen cloth. That was especially difficult with a small child. We were a large group with several babies, but still left the place very clean. The host then left us a negative review about “dirty dishes and stovetop,” which was completely exaggerated. The only dishes left were drying after breakfast, and there were no cleaning cloths. Cleaning was included in the booking fee, yet we felt judged for things covered by what we’d paid.
