Camping Bois de St Hilaire

Chester was delighted with the little dog walk around the site. It’s fairly short, but a couple of laps gave him a good run, and he especially liked greeting the pet pigs at the end. It was also lovely waking up to chickens wandering about. A pleasant wooded campsite, with roomy pitches and plenty of trees for shade. There’s a good bar, and the delightful English couple who run the place make it easy to recommend.

We came as a family of four for three nights at the beginning of our holiday, and wished we’d booked more time. The kids had lovely woodland to explore, while we could relax. The hosts, Kat and Henry, were fabulous. Spacious pitches and clean, practical facilities made the stay easy. The pool, bar, pizza and daily bread van are nice extras that make this a lovely campsite. We’d happily recommend it.

The owners, Henry and Katherine, are so friendly and helpful, and there’s a lovely pool and a well-stocked bar. Staying at this peaceful woodland campsite nearby really is a treat. Town is only a short walk away, with a very well-stocked Spar shop if you’ve forgotten something or are travelling light.

Kids can roam safely around this family campsite, play, have fun and meet other children. There’s plenty to keep them busy, including table tennis, a pool, badminton and table football, all in an idyllic setting with a warm pool, which is unusual in France. The communal BBQ area makes it easy to meet fellow campers, and the bar is a good spot to unwind. Great location and even better hosts. Thanks for a memorable week.
