The park is gorgeous, and the castle has lovely spots to sit, especially the lounge and the dining room with its open fire. There’s even a small chapel upstairs in one of the buildings. Our room was comfortable enough, though the bathroom fittings show it hasn’t been renovated recently. Rooms vary a lot in size, from very large to quite small. The restaurant setting is beautiful, and the food was excellent. Service was attentive and well trained, usually friendly too. I did find communication between reception and the kitchen unreliable: information I left at reception on two or three occasions never reached the kitchen, even though they confirmed it had.

We were travelling during an emergency at 2 a.m. and were advised to call this hotel because the reception is staffed all night. The woman who answered was lovely and helpful. Our room was spacious and just right, and both the hotel and its surroundings were lovely.

The restaurant was a highlight for me, with really tasty food and impeccable service. The whole place is beautiful and has such a pleasant feel to it. A wonderful stay at Château des Comtes de Challes, highly recommended.

We spent three fantastic nights here. Between the castle, the refreshing pool area, and the delicious food and wine tasting, there was plenty to enjoy. Thanks to everyone for making it feel so welcoming. You’re the real "Comtes de Challes". MERCI BEAUCOUP.

We came from the Geneva area for two nights to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday, with five adults and two children. I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting quite so much, but we had an amazing time. The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were kind, discreet and helpful, and the castle and grounds were beautiful. I love discovering new places, so I don’t say this often, but I’m sure we’ll come back.
