The rooms were updated, pleasant and practical, and the hotel is right in the centre of Chalons-en-Champagne. But the real highlight was Restaurant Jérôme Feck. My wife and I had one of the finest meals we can remember, and for me the Pavlova dessert was a burst of delicious flavours. We'd come back just to have that experience again.

We had a city-view room with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious, with a big bathtub as well as a separate shower room, and the bathrobes and towels were very new and clean. Private parking is available for €10 a day. There are two very good restaurants on the premises, including a fine dining one that was very good.

A handy place to stop overnight when driving from Calais to the Alps, and much better than an Ibis or somewhere similar. The staff were all very helpful. Dinner in the bistro was fabulous and very reasonably priced, and I had the best French breakfast I've had in a long time.

Right in the heart of Chalons, with a restaurant serving everything you'd expect from a Michelin 1*. Even on a very quiet night, the night before NYE, both the food and service were perfect. I especially liked the "Surprise" wine choice with each course.

Parking nearby is a nightmare, so we were glad we'd booked a space that came with free Destination Charging for our Tesla. We had dinner in the brasserie instead of the Michelin starred restaurant and were delighted with the menu, attentive service and wines. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. We'll be back.
