Hotel***Aunette Cottage Senlis

A lovely family-run hotel not far from Paris. The garden feels natural and welcoming, and there's a heated outdoor pool as well as a charming restaurant. Our renovated room showed a lot of care and attention. Everyone on the staff was friendly and ready to help. I'll definitely be back.

The garden is a real treat, and the pool looked very tempting, though we didn't get to use it. On a longer visit we'd make time for both the pool and the croquet set. We stopped for just one night on the way back to Calais from the Limousin, and the location worked perfectly, under 10 minutes from the A1 and two hours from the Eurotunnel. Our room was spacious and lovely, with a calm, fresh feel alongside sturdy French antiques. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the shower was enormous with good pressure. The owner gave us a warm welcome and was incredibly attentive, even though his wife had given birth earlier that day and he was clearly worn out. Dinner was simple, good food in a nice setting, but we felt it was a little expensive for what it was. The €15 dog charge also seemed high. Still, we'll certainly return.

After a long day on our bikes, this was exactly the stop we needed. We were cycling from the Netherlands to Paris and back, and this was one of the best places we stayed on the whole trip. The owner is a really good cook, so I'd recommend having dinner and breakfast here. Easily one of our best overnight stays. Thanks so much!

The breakfast is the kind you remember for a while, and dinner is well worth trying too. This is a friendly, quality-minded little hotel and restaurant. The couple running it are warm, clearly care about hospitality, and do their best to make you feel at ease. Don't hesitate, go.
