The location was perfect and the staff were really friendly. Our room was small but cozy, with two balconies in the superior room. The €15 breakfast buffet was mostly cold food, with eggs you boil yourself. We paid another €25 per person for the hot tub, and it was awesome.

I have receipts, screenshots, and emails ready for a credit card chargeback. This is the hotel's chance to put things right professionally: refund me and the review goes away. You have my details. I booked through expedia, my first mistake, and asked whether I could get a refund for my upcoming stay because I realized the town would be shut down for tourist activities during my dates. I even offered to pay a 20% goodwill fee. The hotel flatly refused by email and said I'd lose 100% of the booking fee. I figured rules were rules and accepted that. I still planned to go for the scenery since I'd paid over $500. Less than 10 minutes later, Expedia emailed to say the booking had been cancelled and a refund was on its way. I thought maybe the hotel had changed its mind. It hadn't: they cancelled the reservation but refused to refund me. I assume they wanted to sell the room to someone else. Expedia says the hotel cancelled, but won't release the funds without the hotel's approval, and dealing with Expedia is painful at best. This is theft and against every consumer law possible.

It's a clean hotel with a cosy feel, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The bus stop nearby makes it easy to get to the different ski areas. Breakfast was very basic, with no hot options, though the service was good.

The staff made our four days here feel like a five-star stay. They helped us with bus tickets, translating French, and finding good places to eat. It's a super nice place with a friendly team and a perfect base for getting everywhere. I'm thinking of returning for a longer stay. Highly recommend it.
