Chalet Quartz - Les Rives d'Argentière

We rented two adjoining buildings for four days in June 2018 for our wedding, and the place was absolutely top-notch. The views were especially hard to beat, and the location was so convenient for shops, transport, and lifts. Facilities were flawless, and the service was fantastic. Special thanks to Marta. Being able to walk straight from the front door to trailheads was a real treat, and we could also easily reach the bus and train stations, supermarket, and our favorite bakery, L'al'pain. Les Rives was an ideal setting for our weeklong wedding celebration with 40 close friends and family. We filled the week with hiking, trail running, shared meals, and time together, and the chalets gave us room to do all of it. The place is beautiful, with cozy, modern interiors and shared spaces that worked well for gathering. Guests loved the decor, and the mountain views from every window made the stay feel magical. Each house had kitchenware, a washing machine, and the things we needed to feel at home. Daily cleaning was a big help, since it let us spend more time with our guests. The sauna, hot tubs, and pool were popular after hikes, and everyone enjoyed the cinema room. We watched films there during the week, then turned it into a nightclub on our wedding night. The in-house chef made delicious three-course dinners that guests raved about, and was thoughtful about dietary needs. The vegetarian meals were just as exciting. Marc and Melinda, who manage the property, were clear, prompt, and thoughtful from the beginning. A few months before the wedding, Marc made time for a full tour despite being busy, then even drove us back to Chamonix. During the week, Marc, Melinda, Jonas, and the rest of the team helped with all the details, from local suggestions to planning how we used the indoor and outdoor areas. They stayed easy to reach for last-minute requests and coordination with our wedding planner, which meant we could relax and enjoy the celebration. We loved our time at Les Rives. It had the space, comfort, and setting we wanted, and we’re already thinking about coming back for a reunion.

The setting felt magical, and I felt right at home. Everything from the amenities and cleanliness to the location and communication was amazing. It was one of the most incredible stays I’ve had, and I definitely plan to return.

Toomes' 50th birthday week gave us some great memories, especially for all the young lads who came along. The complex was great, and the team running it made everything feel slick. We had a fantastic time.
