Le Hameau Albert 1er - Relais & Châteaux

The service felt very Concierge, and I loved staying here. The hotel car took us to the slopes and picked us up, and it was easy to rent gear at the ski shop next door. The location is just outside the town centre but an easy walk, with beautiful views. We stayed in a suite and would do that again. The designer accommodation was gorgeous, with plush bedding and towels. The room was cleaned very well, and they did an excellent job with our laundry. Breakfast was nice, the small lounge was stunning, and my spa massage was very good quality.

The grounds are spectacular, with fruit trees, an indoor-outdoor pool, and 360-degree mountain views. The hotel is right in the heart of town, and the staff were great. It felt like stepping into a storybook, like Beauty and the Beast coming to life. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I could go on for days. If you’re even remotely thinking of booking, I can’t say enough good things about the hotel, the town, and the people of Chamonix!

Beautiful spa, rich history, and great staff. The hotel was flawless, and the shuttle service to every ski area was dead simple.

The staff are lovely and seem to do everything they can for you. There were presents at check-in and check-out, plus the rarified pillow chocolate. Wahoo! The rooms are a little small, and the bed may not be the comfiest I’ve ever slept in, but they’re nicely decorated and modern. The breakfast spread doesn’t look huge, so we were a bit stingy and didn’t pay the €34 each. Keep in mind omelettes cost extra too. I’d come again, though maybe not pay some of the mega-high peak-season prices. P.S. They do offer a shuttle to the ski station if you’re worried it’s too far. It’s a pretty big hill, so you’d want that from any hotel.
