The hosts were welcoming, and we especially liked the homemade breakfast and the pool, which was a real plus in the hot weather. The room and bathroom were clean, though there could be a bit more storage for stays of several nights. The guesthouse is in quiet countryside, about 20 minutes from Rochefort.

The hosts were welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was excellent, with homemade jam, bread, and waffles. Our pleasant room had its own entrance. The place has been renovated beautifully and is tastefully arranged in a quiet spot, with a magnificent garden that’s meticulously maintained and a swimming pool.

Breakfast was pleasant and came with homemade waffles, but we had to eat outside. It was 17° and very windy that day, and in all our experience with guest rooms we’d never been unable to have breakfast indoors, either in our room or a shared room. I’d requested 8am, but the earliest available was 8:30. The room has no window. If you get hot, you have to leave the front door open. The bedroom opens onto a dead end road and has no shutter, which still felt stressful. There is a fan, but like all fans, it only moves the hot air around. There was no door or curtain around the shower, so water quickly spilled out toward the toilet, which is very close by. We received a very polite welcome, though it lacked warmth. Perhaps the owners need to change activities if they aren’t adapting to their guests.

The room had no window, only a glass door, and got so hot it felt like a sauna. We had to sleep with the door open, which wasn’t great, and the fan just pushed the warm air around. Aside from that, the surroundings, room, and pool area were beautiful, and the owners were very friendly.
