Hotel Lou Cantou

The people were nice and seemed to care. I only stopped for dinner, and while the menu doesn't have a huge range of choices, both the 'charcuterie' salad and boeuf bourguignon were tasty enough that I'd go back.

The breakfast is modest, with fresh bread, pastries, and good coffee served in a small dining area. I found the rooms small but arranged to make good use of the space, and they were spotless, with fresh linens and clean bathrooms. The quiet atmosphere and views of the street or courtyard added to the sense of place. The décor has a classic French feel, with local touches. Staff were attentive without hovering and happy to help with recommendations or small requests. It has the calm, genuine hospitality of a small French hotel, and focuses on cleanliness and comfort. A personal, reliably pleasant option if you don't want the feel of a larger, impersonal hotel.

The hotel owners were so friendly, and the generous breakfast was lovely. The place isn't luxurious, but it felt much more welcoming. We were greeted warmly, and everything was very clean.

The breakfast was excellent, and the room was clean. Staff were friendly, helpful, and down-to-earth, and the hotel itself has old-fashioned charm while staying peaceful and quiet. It works well for a stopover or a relaxing break close to nature. The value for money is great compared with the exorbitant rates at international hotel chains. I highly recommend it. 😊
