We had a lovely breakfast in the park-like garden, and the hotel itself is nicely designed with a beautiful pool. The location and scenery are gorgeous. Everything was fine apart from the children's thin mattress, which had urine stains. They weren't given separate mattresses, unfortunately.

Oliver made us feel so welcome throughout our three nights at Le 49. He was caring and attentive, and even his homemade almond cake at breakfast is worth trying. The rooms were spacious, modern, very clean, and really nice, and we enjoyed the large, well-kept park and the pool. We hadn't known the area around Domblans before, so we were surprised by how beautiful it was and how much there is to see. We can only recommend Domblans and Le 49.

Olivier was courteous and attentive at breakfast, which had a great selection of locally sourced food. He also gave us invaluable tips on places to visit and couldn't have been more helpful. We stayed two nights in May at Le 49 Parc and Spa, and the room was superb, with wonderful views across the pool and gardens. We had a fabulous stay. Thank you, Olivier, and we'd highly recommend it to other travellers.

Domblans has a supermarket and a good deli, and there are plenty of places to visit nearby with stunning scenery. We had a very good meal and wine at Le Bouchon du Chateau. We spent three nights at this lovely b&b, where the room and shared areas were very good. The outside pool area is nice, and breakfast is served there when the weather allows. Oliver takes care of breakfast, which is very good and uses local produce. Highly recommended for a few days or a stop along the way.

The beds were so comfortable that we slept fantastically, even though we were only passing through for one night. The host was really friendly and has good contacts for booking dinner at nearby restaurants. Thoughtful decoration and a great breakfast made this hidden gem even nicer. The pool, sauna and jaccuzi look amazing, so we’ll definitely come back and stay longer.
