We stopped for one night on the way to Spain, but the restaurant was closed. There’s a good swimming pool, which gave us a chance to relax, and the service was friendly and helpful. The place has amazing potential, though it’s very old and doesn’t seem well maintained. Hopefully it gets updated soon.

The food and service were excellent, but the hotel has clearly seen better days. The carpets were moldy, and the rooms were as basic as they could be. I also found it funny that the wall art consisted of two 5x7 prints. Don’t let the photos fool you.

I go to the restaurant once or twice a year, and the food quality and service are consistently good. It’s definitely worth a visit.

The rooms we booked had garden views, but they haven’t really been updated, so we were a little shocked when we first walked in. Still, don’t judge a book by its cover. We had dinner on the beautiful terrace, and the Menu du jour was super, super, super delicious! On arrival, we were impressed by the building, the lake, and the really big pool. It’s a super location, and I’d definitely recommend a visit.

Our three-course lunch was excellent, and the service was close to perfect. We had a table overlooking the lake, and the whole meal cost just 15.5 Euros. We stopped here during a long drive south. I was surprised it wasn’t crowded, so give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.
